New product by Häagen Dazs! Japanese sweets “Flower Rice Cake”

New combination of rich smooth ice cream of Häagen Dazs and soft rice cake that is unique to Japan brings out “Flower Rice Cake” series! New items in 2018 are 【Chestnut Azuki】 and 【Sakura Ann】!

Chestnut Azuki

Price：300 yen（tax exluded）
This chestnut azuki expressed the taste of Japanese staple sweet “Chestnut Zenzai”. The flavorful chestnut and azuki bean are excellent!
When you open the lid, the chestnut-containing grains and rice cakes are on the top. It looks delicious! It looks pretty different from usual Häagen Dazs.

Because this “flower rice cake” has something rich on the top, it is recommended to take it out of the freezer, melt it slightly, soften it and eat it. Then you can eat cutting rice cakes with a spoon as the rice cakes will sticky.

Below the rice cake, it had Azuki ice cream. Its feature is elegant sweetness which added brown sugar to azuki produced in Hokkaido. The chestnut sauce is contained in this ice cream, and when I eat ice cream, I felt quite a nice chestnut flavor. It looks very sweet, but in fact it was not too sweet and I felt it was an ice cream to enjoy the rich flavor of chestnut and adzuki bean. It was very delicious!

Sakura Ann

This “Sakura Ann” expressed the taste of “Sakura Rice Cake” that makes you feel the spring. It is a taste not found in Häagen Dazs ever having a gorgeous cherry aroma and salty taste!

When you open the lid, you will be amazed by the sense of transparency with cherry blossom sauce! I sometimes feel that it has an artificial taste with Sakura sweets, but it was very delicious, as the cherry blossoms scented very naturally! I was surprised that I felt it is more sweet than chestnuts one.

The ice cream under the rice cake goes well with the cherry leaf powder and rich milk, so you can taste the cherry blossom with a high aroma.
A cherry blossom paste that had been salted was in the Sakura Ann on the ice cream, and it was particularly delicious.

This is “Salty Butter Biscuit” which I recommend to eat.
Häagen Dazs is always releasing limited edition and this flavor is my favorite.
Butterscotch ice cream is sweet and it is delicious with rich and salty butter.
