Japanese Sake from Kazuma Shuzo, a sake brewery in Noto on the Ishikawa Peninsula, a region blessed with natural beauty on land and sea

JAPANESE SAKE continues to grow in popularity year by year.
There are sake breweries all over Japan, with the vast majority concentrated in areas blessed with natural beauty both on land and sea.
The brewery featured on this occasion is Kazuma Shuzo, which is located in Noto in Ishikawa prefecture and is very popular with tourists from Japan and other countries. The sake produced here preserves traditional brewing techniques while making the most of Noto’s charms in utilizing rice and water from the rich lands of satoyama and satoumi.

To really cherish the rich flavor of rice, start with the basics: how to drink sake

One of the attractions of Japanese sake is that it can be enjoyed at different temperatures.
Cold sake is sake that has been chilled to 5-15 degrees Celcius. It is recommended to use Ginjo sake as it possesses a sharp yet light flavor.
Room temperature (20-25 degrees Celsius) is ideal for long-term aged sake or pure rice sake where one really wants to savor the taste of the rice itself.
Warmed sake at about 40 degrees Celsius enhances the aroma and flavor of the rice.
Hot sake (about 50 degrees Celsius) brings out the flavor and sweetness of the rice even more.
Pour sake into special sake cups, clink them together and say “kanpai” to toast before you drink.
