Available only in the Winter! Ghana Creamy Chocolates in Rich Milk・Rich Cacao

Hello! Writer from Payke here.
In Japan, there are a lot of limited-time products sold every season.
I believe that many of these limited-time products can be found especially during the winter.
So this time, I would like to introduce to you some sweets that are only available during the winter season!

Ghana Creamy Chocolates in Rich Milk・Rich Cacao

Now, I will introduce some limited-time winter products from Japan’s sweets manufacturer Lotte: the Ghana Creamy Chocolates in Rich Milk・Rich Cacao!
Ghana chocolate is one of the most popular items sold by Lotte since 1964.
Its bright red packaging leaves us with a lasting impression on the chocolates.
These are the packages for the Ghana Creamy Chocolates in Rich Cacao (Left)・Rich Milk (Right).

The Rich Milk (Right) has Ghana’s signature bright red packaging.
They are usually placed next to each other in stores and so they should be easy to spot.
First, I would like to open the Rich Milk!

Once you open it, there are individually packaged chocolates inside.

I took out the contents and placed them.

When opening the package, a sweet scent of chocolate fills the air.
There is also liquor in them, and you can smell its slight scent as well.
If you look at the cross section here closely, you can see that there are two layers of chocolate.

The outer layer is a thin, crispy chocolate shell while the inside contains some soft, ganache-like chocolate.
The moment you bite into it, the chocolate shell will break and fill your mouth with the soft texture of the filling along with the sweetness from the milk chocolate.
Next, let’s open the Rich Cacao!

Just like the Rich Milk, when you open the lid, the individually packaged chocolates are inside.

Took out the contents of the Rich Cacao too!

Compared to the Rich Milk, the Rich Cacao had less of a chocolate scent when I opened the package.
This is the cross section of the Rich Cacao.

Since these chocolates were not too sweet, they were very easy to eat!
This may be perfect for those who do not have a sweet tooth.

The Technique and Deliciousness praised by Chocolatiers

Even Japan’s leading chocolatier, Miki Miyahara, praises the techniques used to create these nearly-authentic creamy chocolates and its mouth-melting smooth textures.
1 box of Ghana Creamy Chocolates in Rich Milk・Rich Cacao is 267 yen (including tax) and they are sold nationwide in Japan.
1 box includes 8 pieces of chocolate.
I hope you go out and try some limited-time chocolates this season!
