Daiso [Haruhime]

It is well known that the 100 yen store Daiso provides useful and cheap products, whose price tag does not affect their quality; currently, the Haruhime series of makeup brush from Daiso is hugely popular among young women.

Normally, people will be expecting to spend over 1000 yen when buying a makeup brush but you can buy a brush from the Haruhime series with as little as 100~300yen. (Although Daiso is a 100 yen store, sometimes there will be products that cost 200 yen or more.) At such a price, I am sure you must be worried about the quality of the brush. Today, we will be giving a quick review of 4 brushes from the Haruhime series that has been receive positive ratings.

①Kabuki face brush

First, the Kabuki face brush which is the most popular product in the Haruhime series. It is a little bit more expensive at 300 yen but I can assure of its great quality!

The brush has soft and vividly pink bristles which are closely packed. Also, while the picture does it no justice, the brush is actually really soft such that it does not feel prickly when used on the face; it is so comfortable to use, so much so, that it is quite unbelievable that the bristles are man-made! This brush is highly recommended for applying a powder finish to makeup. Even I have been charmed by this little brush♪

②Foundation brush & Cheek brush

The Foundation brush is roughly similar to the Kabuki face brush in size and softness. When using the brush on the face it is slightly less comfortable compared to the Kabuki face brush, but, it also has a longer handle which makes it easier to hold♪

A special point of the Cheek brush is that the end of the bristles is cut diagonally; due to the unique slant of the brush head, the bristles feel firm. This makes for a brush that is able to apply makeup to the cheeks easily.

On top of the introduced brushes thus far, the Haruhime series has a wide selection brushes consisting of many others such as those used for eye shadow and lips. However, when I went to Daiso, many of the brushes were sold out due to the overwhelming popular of the series. So I hope everyone will be able to get their hands on some when they go looking for them!

③Ultra-soft facewash brush

When washing your face, you should wet the brush and then use it to massage and spread the facewash that has been put on your face. The brush is full of bristles and while it is of slightly inferior quality to some of the other Haruhime brushes, it is still quite soft. When washing your face with it, your face will feel pampered as though gently caressed by its softness♪

④Bonus: Whip foundation puff

It seemed that this puff from the Haruhime series had quite good sales so I bought one to try. The puff should first be wet then used on top of applied foundation cream. Personally, I found it to be harder than I thought and felt it was a little difficult to use…
