Cup noodle variants, are they really that delicious?

Hello everyone, have you ever eaten cup noodles?
Did you know that cup noodles, which is well loved around the world, was invented in Japan? It is one of the inventions that Japan is proud of sharing with the world.
Lately, cup noodles have been receiving many flavor variants Today I will introduce 2 of them, the creamy tomato noodle flavor and the sukiyaki flavor.

Creamy tomato noodles

First, let me introduce the creamy tomato noodle flavor.

The packaging of the cup noodles is really impactful with its bright colors, interesting font and illustrations of cheese and tomato. When you see it in the stores, it is bound to attract your attention.

When you lift up the lid, you will be able to find an assortment of ingredients such as cheese, garlic and broccoli in the cup. Even at this point, there will be a pleasant fragrance of cheese and tomatoes. Next, add in hot water and wait for 3 minutes.

When you lift up the lid again, the cheese would have melted and the smell of cheese and tomatoes intensifies, preluding the deliciousness of the noodles that you are about to eat.

The noodles together with the cheese is really delicious and with the tomato base soup it feels like eating soup pasta. Also, thanks to the cheese in the mix, I could not taste the sourness of the tomato, creating a much more delicious flavor. Surprisingly, the overall flavor was quite mild such that it felt like I was drinking tomato soup. Normally, I do not drink the soup of the cup noodles but the creamy tomato noodles flavor was so delicious that I could not stop myself from finishing the soup this time.
Actually, the creamy tomato noodle flavor was sold out last year but because of its popularity, it was revived again. Currently, it can be bought at all supermarkets in Japan for 180 yen (tax incl.).

Sukiyaki BIG

Next, I would like to introduce the sukiyaki flavor.

When I first heard about the sukiyaki flavor, I was quite doubtful if it was going to be tasty. However, when I had the chance to eat it, my doubts flew out the window.

Some meat, egg and spring onions are included together with the noodles.

After adding hot water to the noodles, place the sukiyaki sauce, which is included, on top of the lid to warm it up and wait for 3 minute. Once the 3 minutes is up, lift up the lid add the sauce to the noodles.

The fragrance of the sukiyaki soup and the spring onions are really tantalizing; just the fragrance alone is appetizing enough. Although, if you add one more ingredient, the noodles is going to be even more delicious. Lately, adding soft boiled egg into cup noodles has been becoming a trend on social media. In fact, the sukiyaki flavor was created for this exact reason. So, lastly, let us add a soft boiled egg as a topping.

You can make your own soft boiled egg, or if it too much of a hassle you can by one from the supermarket or convenience store. Even though I only added a simple egg, the noodles already seem more delicious. Normally, when eating sukiyaki you would dip the meat into a small bowl of raw egg, so it would make sense that the soft boiled egg will go well with the sukiyaki flavor cup noodles.

Break the egg yolk, dip the noodles into the yolk and taste that delicious mellow flavor. The sukiyaki flavor is sold in the big size. It is more filling than the normal size, but because it was so delicious, somehow I was able to gobble down all of it.
The sukiyaki flavor is sold at 221yen (tax incl.)
Although it is sold throughout the country, it is not found in all supermarkets and convenience stores and is, therefore, quite the rare find. If you find it in any stores, please buy it.
This ends my introduction of the cup noodle variants. The strength of cup noodles lies in the potential of trying many different flavors from the standard ones to the various variants, giving you endless possibilities. So do try all the different flavors.
