How does Japan’s pasta taste? Easy to use and enjoy, Kewpie’s pasta dressing sauce

Today, I would like to introduce an excellent pasta sauce, suitable, for those who are living alone or love Japanese cuisine. This is a must try for those who have an empty stomach and want a quick fix.

Kewpie【Pasta dressing sauce】

Kewpie’s pasta dressing sauce is a series of pasta sauces that can be added to boiled pasta and enjoyed together without any extra hassle. The series has 20 different flavors to choose from, consisting of a complete set of flavors unique to Japan. Today, I will be making and introducing 4 of my favorite flavors.

Tarako “Cod Roe”

As shown in the picture above, the sauce is contained in small packaging. All you need to do, is to open the package and mix the sauce with your paste. Voila, your paste is complete. Easy-Peasy!

The boiled pasta warms up the sauce while you are mixing them, so it does not taste cold even though you are only dressing the pasta with the sauce. Do take note that the recommended serving size of pasta noodles is 100g, however, I mixed my sauce with 120g pasta noodles. Therefore, the pasta I made had a lighter flavor. Japan’s tarako spaghetti is a fusion of tarako mayonnaise and butter, infused with spaghetti noodles. I only recently discovered that tarako spaghetti has its origins in Japan, however, I am sure that regardless of where people are from, they will enjoy the taste of this unique spaghetti. The tarako in the sauce is creamy while the mayonnaise and butter exudes a mellow yet rich flavor, making it really delicious and a must try.

Japanese style mushroom butter soy sauce

This mushroom butter soy sauce pasta is the one that I make the most while I am at home. The delightful fragrance of mushrooms and the rich taste of the butter soy sauce is perfect for a hungry stomach. The seasoning of the sauce is perfect but I tend to prefer more mushrooms in my pasta, so I think I will add in extra mushrooms the next time I make it♪

Crab with tomato cream mascarpone pasta

Of course, there are also western flavors. For example this tomato cream sauce that has crab added into it. There is not a lot of crab added to the sauce, however, the taste of crab and the tomato cream sauce compliments well, giving the pasta a refined taste. I really like this kind of tomato based pasta, so this sauce gets a head up from me. The sauce was so good that I made sure to finish every last drop of it together with the pasta.

Rich Cheese Cabonara

The carbonara sauce has a rich cheese taste making it delicious. However, I felt that it was lacking a certain punch to it, so I added a little black pepper after a few bites. On another note, the carbonara sauce does not have a high calorie count, so I think this is perfect for those who are on diet but are craving for some delicious carbonara.

So what do you think?
The sauces introduced today can be bought from the super market. Also, these sauces could possibly be the perfect Japanese souvenir you could get for friends or family who are constantly busy on a daily basis. This ends my introduction but I would like to recommend everyone to have a try of the sauces.
