Enjoy the Wisteria Flower Tunnel at Ashikaga Flower Park!

About an hour and a half by train from Tokyo,
Ashikaga Flower Park is an easily accessible must-visit spot filled with breathtaking scenery perfect for photos! Covering approximately 90,000 square meters, the park offers seasonal highlights throughout the year, including beautiful wisteria in spring and dazzling illuminations in winter.
This time, Payke staff visited the park to experience the wisteria flowers at their peak from April to May!
Even in the Rain, the Wisteria Trellises Are Absolutely Stunning!
When we visited (last year), it was unfortunately a rainy day, but the park was still vibrant with purple and pink blossoms, bustling with many visitors even on a weekday.
Among the highlights was the Grand Wisteria Trellis, with over 160 years of history. The wisteria blooms cascaded down like a waterfall of flowers — truly a breathtaking sight!
The raindrops glistening on the flowers added a magical, dreamlike atmosphere.

A Perfect Spot for Instagram! The Wisteria Tunnel
As we made our way to one of the main highlights, the Wisteria Tunnel, a soft, sweet fragrance filled the air, instantly putting us in a relaxed, soothing mood.
As one of the most popular spots often seen on Instagram, it was no surprise to see many people taking photos there. Of course, we made sure to snap plenty of pictures too! (The photos shown are from last year.)
By the way, since the blooming period varies slightly depending on the color of the wisteria, we recommend checking the Ashikaga official website for the latest blooming updates before you visit!
