Kabuki is one of the Japanese traditional performing arts in theatre. It is developed by Okuni Izumo and completed in the Edo period (around the 17th to the 19th century). It was designated as the Important Intangible Cultural Property in 1965 and it still loved by everyone.
Speaking of Kabuki, its makeup is famous. Originally, it is said that it was drawn to express the blood vessels and streaks of the face over, and the usable colour is decided to depend on the character.
For example, red colour represents justice and courage, and blue colour represents evil. And, brown colour is used for an eerie character other than humans such as demons and monsters.
